Spring Trail Day – April 14 2024 (Sunday!)

Come by for our first trail day of the season and help us improve the climbing trails. All are welcome! Event starts at 9. All participants will need to sign a waiver. Please bring water, a helmet, and appropriate work clothes.

Reel Rock 18 Showing – March 30 2024

The TCC will be hosting a showing of Reel Rock 18 at the Hudson Boulders at 8:30 pm on Saturday, March 30th. Tickets will be $15 for TCC members and $20 for non-members. Check out the trailer here and get excited! Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance here. Please bring a chair of some sort – we’ll be setup in the gym area, watching the movie on a projector! HB will be selling snacks and refreshments. Note that there will be no climbing allowed at this time, as the gym closes at 8:00 PM on Saturdays.

Annual Meeting at Hudson Boulders Gym- December 06 2023

We will be hosting our 8th annual meeting at the new Hudson Boulders gym in Latham. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM and attendees will have the option to purchase discounted day passes. We will have a brief review of our activities for past year and plans for the future, followed by elections for our board members. Anybody is welcome to run for board membership or to attend our monthly meetings and learn more. We’ll be doing a small potluck, so feel free to bring some food to share. We are continuing a nice tradition and hosting a crew from Rochester for a trail day. All are welcome! Event starts at 9. All participants will need to sign a waiver. The TCC is partnering with the RocVentures climbing gym to do a trail day. All are welcome! Event starts at 9. All participants will need to sign a waiver. Please bring water, a helmet, and appropriate work clothes.

Open House with the Thacher Nature Center – June 11 2022

The TCC will be working with the Nature Center to teach some interested parties about the climbing at Thacher. We will be meeting at 11 am at the Nature Center, located at 87 Nature Center Way, Voorheesville, NY 12186. After the presentation, there will be a tour of the climbing area for interested parties who sign a waiver.

2022 Opening Day – April 9 2022

Climbing at Thacher Park opens for the 2022 season this coming Saturday, April 9th! We’re all very excited for another great season and hope you are too. Before visiting, please fill out your 2022 climbing permit and email it to jbthacher@parks.ny.gov. You can pick up your permit from the Visitor Center. Enjoy climbing and be safe!

Season Opening Trail Day – April 16 2022

We will be having our season opening trail day on Saturday, April 16th! We are meeting at the Hailes Cave parking lot at 9 am. Bring a helmet and gloves. Shovels, picks, etc will be provided.
